Abstract: Cheating can be a problem in higher education particularly with the popularity of online courses. Many faculty members feel that “policing” isn’t part of their job description. Creating awareness, and providing faculty guidelines, tools, techniques and resources to “police” online education is imperative to maintain credibility and academic integrity.

 

Bio: Kevin D. Zeiler, JD, is an Assistant Professor in the Health Care Management Program at the Metropolitan State University of Denver, Colorado. Professor Zeiler has 15 plus years of experience working in the health care field, as a paramedic, supervisor and educator. His interests focus on eliminating access issues within the healthcare industry to individuals and populations based on their socioeconomic and racial/ethnic status. Professor Zeiler has a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, an MBA from Regis University and a B.S. in Health Care Management from the Metropolitan State University of Denver.
