Abstract: Title: The eTutor © Learning System Abstract The eTutor© is a suite of software developed at the University of Colorado Denver (UCD) to improve the reading comprehension and logical skills of International and limited English proficient (LEP) students. The applications include: 1) eReader - improves reading speed and comprehension; 2) eReport - an automated report writer; 3) eThinker - exercises to improve IQ and 4) eLogic - a mind mapping machine

 

Bio: Michael Tang is a Senior Partner of VERI Books, LLC and a senior instructor of the history of science and technology in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Colorado Denver (UCD). He has publish numerous peer review journal articles on the impact of online technologies on education, learning and cognition. At UCD he teaches the courses, Engr 3400: Science Technology and Culture and Engr 3600: International Dimensions of Science, Technology and Culture, which traditionally attach over 300 students per semester.

 

Description: This will be an interactive live demo facilitated by TAs who worked on developing (programming) and teaching the software suite
